Cost and pricing

Pricing checkpoint
Use these live numbers to decide whether package size, ingredient cost, labor, or markup needs another pass. How it is calculated
Batch cost = ingredients + packaging + labor + overhead. Cost per unit = batch cost / package count. Target margin price = cost per unit / (1 - target margin). Wholesale = target margin price × (1 + wholesale markup). Retail = wholesale × (1 + retail markup).

Built for small packaged food brands
Use the same recipe data to estimate a nutrition panel, draft an ingredient statement, flag common allergens, calculate batch economics, and prepare export-ready notes for a buyer or production file.

No backend account or recipe database
Everything runs in the browser. Local saving is useful for drafts, but there is no login, no server storage, and no external nutrition API behind the workflow.
A practical MVP, not a compliance guarantee
The goal is to get organized before selling packaged food. The generated label preview and allergen helper are estimates that should be reviewed before commercial use.
FAQ
Is this a legal food-label compliance tool?
No. It helps you estimate and prepare label-ready information, but final labels should be reviewed against the rules that apply to your product, location, and sales channel.
Where is my recipe data stored?
The tool runs in the browser. Saved drafts use local browser storage, and exports are generated on your device unless you choose to share the files yourself.
Does the nutrition math use a live database?
No. The MVP uses a typed local ingredient dataset with estimated nutrition per 100 g. You can override nutrition values for custom ingredients when you have better data.
